They don’t make them like they used to. Wait, what?!? This is one product ad we would have loved to see a picture for. It seems like a feat of engineering to even get an antique wooden dildo to vibrate with a hand crank. I imagine it would have to be without batteries and electricity, making it all the more impressive.
I know what you’re all thinking, that this has to be a fake. Maybe it is, but there are some weird people out there -weird enough to sell something like this, and weird enough to make it seventy years ago. If it were real, it would just go to show that people were just as fixated on sex back then as they are now, and they were willing to do something about it.
If it is a fake, we sure would love to get a look at the responses to the ad. It certainly had to be as much fun reading those responses as writing the ad. It was a nice touch to add in that his wife was not interested in it. Also, it was good to know that the money is going towards a good cause in his Christmas shopping. Perhaps the gift was a modern replacement dildo for his wife that didn’t want the antique?
This is a funny Craigslist post either way, but what did you think about it – real or fake? It seems more likely to be a joke, but then again, the funniest real things always do.
