Just in case any of you needed yet another cautionary tale espousing the wisdom of FOR GOD’S SAKE GET TO KNOW PEOPLE BEFORE LETTING THEM BEAT YOU UP comes the latest BDSM scandal to rock the Republican fold. Former Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton (R) has been charged with felony assault; an assault that allegedly happened during an S&M session gone wrong.
Word is he drugged his partner, and although he gave her a “safe phrase”, she was too addled to remember it, let alone speak it. Doesn’t look like he was too repentent after the fact, either. More here and here.
We’re as sick of hearing about the Tiger Woods “scandal” as you are, but the Bizarre Behaviors blog makes a pretty compelling case for there being nothing unique, strange, or bizarre about Tiger’s “transgressions.” They suggest the problem is really “ours” for scandalizing polygamy/polyandry and we should just chill out and ladopt us up one of the contemporary working models for the previously mentioned. What do you guy think? Are you convinced?

“Ma Vie en Rose” was a very cute, sweet film about gender identity, no weird sex about it!
